Business Plan
 |
Opportunities |
Many commercial
cleaning companies provide inadequate or inconsistent services. Their
ability to provide quality service is hampered by several characteristics:
-
Their employees
have a low level of motivation and initiative,
-
Employees are
inadequately trained on their responsibilities,
-
Employees are
inadequately supervised,
-
Management is
not attentive and responsive to the customers,
-
Management’s
focus on budget issues eclipses customer service.
We successfully
compete against three main categories of cleaning companies: franchises,
large, multi-state corporations, and "mom-and-pop operations". Franchises grow quickly because of
corporate sales efforts, but then are often unable to handle the volume of
new business. Very large cleaning companies can lose interest in
individual customers, as they focus on large trends of sales and attrition
in the various sectors of their markets. Mom-and-pop operations can have a
good reputation until they start hiring more employees than they can
effectively manage.
cleaning solutions
is focused on success in our mission, which is to service our customers.
By sticking with “the basics” in our industry—good hiring and training
practices, and customer service—we avoid the problems with quality
that many other
companies experience. By growing our company ourselves, at our own pace,
we ensure that we will not take on more than we can handle.

Business
Concept |
Our strategy for
success hinges on the concept that we must have excellent on-site
employees in order to provide excellent services. Management’s efforts are
key, but even extraordinary efforts by management cannot overcome the
detriment of poor on-site employees.

Because of the
nature of the cleaning industry, employees work independently for much of
their work day. Only by finding employees who can thrive in that
environment can a cleaning company meet its customers’ needs.
The very low
wages that are standard in the cleaning industry are not conducive to
finding these employees. So we start by offering wages that attract
employees with initiative and intelligence. We follow that with
orientation and training that properly prepares them for ours and our
customers’ expectations. Then we ensure that the employees receive
adequate supervision to achieve those expectations. Quick and decisive
response to our customers’ requests and feedback completes the mission.

Goals and
Objectives |
We intend to
continue the steady growth that we have experienced each year that we have
been in business. We have approximately doubled the size of the company
each year we have been in business. Our primary goal is not related to
growth, but to service - we intend to succeed in our mission of providing
excellent service.
Within the next
5-7 years, we expect to be the most highly regarded cleaning company in
Central Indiana.
Within the same
period of time, we expect to gain the reputation of being the most
desirable cleaning company to work for in Central Indiana.
 |
Financial
Plan |
We expect to
continue offering better services than our competition at prices that
compare favorably to theirs. Because a larger slice of our revenue goes to
payroll, and therefore to the taxes and other disbursements based on
payroll, our profits are lower than most other cleaning companies. We
accept this lower rate of reward because it ensures continued steady
growth.
We expect to be
able to continue to meet the financial commitments of the company by
reinvesting the profits back into the company.
